We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Lazy Lake Cabin with my parents and uncle. The cabin is exactly as pictured, with beautiful mountain views and a hot tub that was perfect for relaxing evenings. It made a great home base for Luray Caverns, Skyline Drive, and the local wineries.
Albert and his team were fantastic hosts. Communication was proactive and thorough from the moment we booked, with helpful pre-arrival notes, clear check-in instructions, and even senior-friendly activity recommendations when we asked. When we tried to extend our stay, I accidentally booked one of their other properties for the same night. Vivian noticed, called me right away to sort it out, and made sure the accidental booking was fully refunded. That kind of attentiveness is rare and much appreciated.
The cabin was clean and well stocked, and the area is quiet, private, and peaceful, exactly what we wanted for a relaxed family getaway. We'd happily stay again. Thanks Albert, Brittany, and Vivian!

What a beautiful place. Took my wife and my 2 year old and had a family of 4 join us. Everybody was super comfortable in their beds. Nobody could get enough of the hottub. Nice grass area for the dogs to use. The host was incredible and none of us wanted to.come back home. We will be back for sure

Close to Shenandoah outfitters. Make sure you take all food and drinks with you as there is nothing close by .

We have a lovely 3 day stay at Albert’s place. It was well appointed and the beds were very comfortable - the only thing we could have used was a toaster but we made do. Kids had lots of fun with the game and puzzles. The bathrooms were a bit tired and could use some maintenance (the shower head in master) but were clean and convenient. The fridge door didn’t open all the way due to the walk which was fine but you could get a large tray or cake in there if you needed. I also jammed my finger pretty good trying to open the dryer the way it’s positioned. It was definitely off the beaten path which had some pros and cons. If you’re looking to do river activities it’s very convenient but to get to the national park was a bit of a schlep with little kids. You definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to get to the property. Someone was staying at a neighboring property with a hot rod and it was very loud every time they tried to come and go with rwd. Overall we would albert’s place recommend to others

The Bluebird Cabin is a nice, newly renovated small cabin perfect for small families. It sits about 15 minutes outside of Luray and about 30 minutes to Skyline drive. The road leading up to the house is primitive and an SUV is required to get up the hill. Unfortunately, we were unable to spend much time outdoors during our stay because there were many mosquitos.
